We roamed downtown Montego Bay this morning w/o seeing one single foreigner. We just stood out like a sore thumb. But we were determined to eat a Jamaican breakfast. I'll let the video speak for itself. Hopefully you can hear the music.
In case you're wondering I had brown stewed chicken and Jessie had the steamed fish. Yeah it's quite unusual for breakfast perhaps that would explain why we passed out and took a 2hr nap afterwards.
We checked out of the hotel after a 10 min conversation with the hotel owner on the best way to get out of town. But our sense out of direction got us out in no time. Don't need no stinking map or confusing directions. But so far that has to be some of the most challenging driving I've had in a long time and I'm loving it!
Monstrous resorts dot the coast line on the Negril coast. So glad we reserved this boutique hotel, the Rockhouse Hotel, that Jessie stumbled upon in the book called "1001 Places to See Before You die".
The room is absolutely heavenly with a panoromic view of the Carribean Sea. Here's a little intro:
Time to explore this amazing hotel. More stuff to follow tomorrow.

PS: I only used my wipers twice on this trip. I'm getting better. :)
Location:Negril, Jamaica

nice room!!
ReplyDeleteCool. You guys made it. Can you take a picture of the car you're driving? I'm curious.
ReplyDeleteDude, you need to buy a 100x zoom video camera for beach vacation next time, I need that scene zoooooooooooooooom iiiiiiiiin! :P
ReplyDeleteSteph has a flip mino HD. You'll have wait after we come back. Oh but no zoom in :)

Had the same problem with the wipers while driving down under. I could swear as they passed by the windshield they were saying "Dumb Guy, Dumb Guy...". Could have just been me. The crazy thing is half the cars there have the wipers/turn signals swapped and the other half don't; all depends on where the car was originally made. It must drive the locals nuts too.
ReplyDelete+1 on the car photo. :p
